"Ah, who cares about that junk?" interrupted Ranma. "C'mon, Pops, you ready?" He sprang into the air, landing on one of the bamboo poles sticking up out of the springs. "Right behind you, boy!" cried Genma, leaping up onto another pole. "Oh! No, sirs! Very bad you fall into springs ...!" shouted the Guide. But the two ignored him; they began to leap to and fro between the poles, exchanging a flurry of kicks and blows. At last, Ranma succeeded in landing a decisive blow on his father, sending him spinning into one of the springs. "Oh, no," mourned the Guide. "Very bad ... sir fall into spring of drowned panda ..." He was cut off by a gurgling sound as something rose to the surface of the pool. Ranma, still poised on top of one of the bamboo poles, gasped in horror. It was a panda. "Wha ... what ..." he stuttered. Then, in his shock, he lost his balance and toppled gracelessly into another pool, his arms windmilling frantically. "Oh, sir," the Guide droned. "You fall into spring of drowned girl. Very tragic legend ... whoever fall into that spring ..." Ranma, too, bobbed to the surface. "... take body of drowned girl." The Guide sighed, and went off to fetch a shovel to bury the two customers. He was going to have to extend the graveyard again soon.
